10 or 15 years ago, I had a copy of a DOS program (poem.exe) that generated short poems. Some were good, most boring, some meaningless rubbish. (I think the @poem.exe Twitter account is using dear old poem.exe with a human deciding what to tweet.)
So as someone who’s better at writing lyrics for an existing melody than writing a melody for existing lyrics … interesting tool.
But I always remember that what sells the music industry giant’s idea of music isn’t the music. It’s sex. So when they feed specialist-AI-generated lyrics into specialist-AI-generated melody into specialist-AI-generated avatars – will the domination of musical sex machines like Beyoncé finally be broken?
Only when the avatar looks and acts like her.
